Primarily magic-based. No electricity, no cars, cut off from people who use those things, but I got out a bit and know what they are and the basics of them.

I am good with flying, though. We use brooms and I've done some time on a dragon and a thestral, like a flying horse.

... Flying a shuttle is different than those, you know.

[ There's a bit of a rustle, Carolyn running a hand through her hair. ]

But if you want to learn, we won't turn you away.

I'd hoped it would be.

[As much as he could appreciate the experience of flying on the back of magical creatures, a shuttle sounds a bit better.]

Come down to the shuttle bay. We'll go over what I expect and let you take a look around, at the bay and the different shuttles. You'll also be introduced to whoever happens to be working at the moment; some of them will be helping train you to maintain, repair, and fly the shuttles.

[ Beat. ]

Some of them come off as assholes, but they mean well enough.
