[ Arya volunteered her to supervisor engineering. Carolyn is going to go grey. ]

Yeah, that's the plan. I just...got off track for a while there.

You know it's weird how much better it feels for your friends to disappear than it does to find them in a coma.

I had one disappear this jump, too. And- well, half the department's in a coma, now.

I figured it was a good chunk. That's not the only reason though, I just...I'm not planning to mope anymore.

It sure as hell doesn't get much done. [ That's vaguely approving. ] Think you remember everything?

At least half of everything. Going to be recruiting any newbies this time around?

Always trying. Right now I'm more focused on engineering, if you can believe that. Arya -- the girl who comes in and trains sometimes, with the wolf -- is the only one in the whole department awake, so I'm pulling doubles.

[ Or the Carolyn equivalent of doubles, which is basically not sleeping ever. ]

Hey, well I've helped out in engineering before. So has Delta, I think.

[ he's not going to mention how well he gets along with Arya though. ]

I know. If you're willing to help out more, the ship could use it. [ Badly. ]

Wouldn't have mentioned it if I wasn't willing.

[ His grin is evident in his voice. ]

Yeah, I should have just headed on down to begin with, huh?
