[ She has a familiar voice as well as a familiar name but he's very good at not frightening the sci-fi people. Or at least he's getting better at it. ]

I was told to contact you, I'm guessing because you're involved with the ship's shuttle bay somehow?

The guy I spoke to said you don't fly them, but if you needed another pilot around the place, I'm a quick study. I have some experience with that sort of thing.

We don't have enough fuel to fly them, no. Who did you talk to? And what sort of experience?

Didn't catch a name. Smoky voice, not real optimistic--or long winded. Short but sweet.

The aircraft I flew back in the Air Force were all experimental. When we got to Pegasus, it was my job to work out how to fly the alien ships. Well no, not my job exactly, but I had to do it often enough that I should have been getting a bonus. Little ships, not much bigger than two of these rooms of ours, a Lantean cruiser four times the size of the gardens, and one time a city that, if I had to guess, was maybe a notch under the size of this ship. The Wraith hive didn't like me much, otherwise I'd have flown that too.
