We leave leftovers in the fridge, so if you can't make it there usually is enough to raid to make a decent meal that way, too.

I can adjust my schedule -- my cat needs to eat too, after all, so I can go to dinner and get his stuff together around the same time.

Sure. [ She sounds a bit mystified, but why not, right? ] He belonged to someone else on the ship before me, so I'm sure he'll be fine with everyone else.

--I was training to be a therapist, back home? Not with animals, specifically, but it doesn't take someone who works with therapy animals to know pets bring something out other people can't, sometimes.
